Counseling & Support Groups

The Center is an important gateway to services that many of us need as we age. We provide counseling, support groups and referrals to services like transportation and public benefit assistance.

Our professional staff social workers ensure our community’s most vulnerable seniors are safe, healthy and connected. Social workers are available on weekdays by phone and in-person with an appointment.

We also offer Westside Friends, an outreach program to connect older adults with ongoing companionship and practical help.

An elderly woman with white hair and glasses holds a landline telephone to her ear while sitting on a chair, reaching out to The Center for Active Living for counseling and support groups.

  • In-home support and outreach to vulnerable seniors
  • Transportation help
  • Family counseling and support related to aging
  • Assistance with transitions to higher levels of care
  • Referrals and follow-up with community agencies

Typical support groups include:
