UW Music Professor Emeritus Tom Collier celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month with a multi-media presentation on the history of jazz through the lens of seven distinctive genres, including early jazz, swing, bebop, cool, hard bop, free jazz and fusion. Tom will help define each genre through recordings and visuals of iconic artists such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Miles Davis.
