Greetings From the Executive Director

The days are getting darker and colder, but it’s warm, cozy and filled with activity inside The Center. I’m grateful to our members for making us part of your lives.

Our staff and board held its annual retreat in September. This is a time for us to discuss and plan ways to improve and strengthen The Center.

We identified a few priority projects we’ll be working on next year:

• Expanding our hours by adding late afternoon or evening programs once per week—possibly beginning this spring
  
• Enhancing our Thrift Store shopping experience by opening up the front area for displays, updating our signage and participating in West Seattle Junction events
  
• Budgeting for future financial self-reliance by building operating and maintenance reserves and planning for possible capital projects

We’ll continue to share information as we move along in this work.
