Meet Volunteers: Bianca and Neil
Bianca Thomka and Neil Duncan are two of the most talented and generous volunteers we’ve had the great fortune to attract to The Center. Since 2016, they have dedicated hundreds of hours and significant resources to our organization, playing a crucial role in our ongoing success.
Neil’s expertise in information technology has been vital in supporting The Center’s digital infrastructure, ensuring the safety and integrity of our systems and databases.
Bianca consistently dedicates her time and numerous talents to support and promote special events, which are essential revenue sources for our ongoing programs and services. Bianca also volunteers regularly in The Center’s kitchen, helping our chef prepare and serve meals to both in-house diners and home-bound seniors.
We were thrilled to see Bianca and Neil honored at the West Seattle Grand Parade this summer where they received the Orville Rummel Trophy for Outstanding Service to the Community. They volunteer with several organizations in our community, so we are honored and grateful that they choose The Center for Active Living to devote so much of their time.
Bianca is originally from the Los Angeles area, and Neil is originally from Eastern Washington. When not volunteering, they enjoy traveling—with a special fondness for many parts of Europe.
Thank you, Bianca and Neil!
